Find Self-Help (Part #1)

You can access numerous self -help books at you local bookstore or online.  Early in my life I have encountered many authors who have good insight and informaion.

First you must ask what do I need help with? When you absolutley understand your needs, you can find the correct information.

Let us begin with anxiety for example.  Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and even Dr. Phil can all help here.  Some of their books may not by their very titles address this issue however, I would read excepts and determine if they discuss this concern and most actually do in some way.  Remember that professional help is always a safe avenue but if you want to tackle this on your own then look to the books.

I begin with Dr. Wayne Dyer and his first book "Your Erroneous Zones".  As he described it this book was about the bumps in your your head not the hot spots in your body.  He described why people behave the way that they do and in three groups called Neurotics, Normals and NEZ's (No Erroneous Zones).  This one book became the mantra on behavior and how to overcome bad habits including anxiety.  I think this still holds on as his best work to date and why will be explained in my follow up but ultimatley he is most grounded here.   The next book of Dr. Dyers is "Pulling Your Own Strings" followed by "The Skys The Limit".  This trilogy was meant to address how to deal with you, with others and finally how far can you go in this new way of thinking.    All of these books in some way or another address neurotic behavior in which anxious thoughts occur either with you or others and how to rid yourself of them to reach your full potential.  It is worth noting that these volumes are a practical approach to solving the issues in your life.

In part #2 I continue with Dr. Dyer.
